One of the partner projects and organisations of Fondation de France Asia (FDFA), the Grandes Musiques à Saint-Tropez – Les Nuits du Château de la Moutte celebrated its 51st edition this summer as an iconic festival that continues to enrich the cultural life in the South of France, while welcoming outstanding artists from around the world.
Over two weeks, music resonated throughout Saint-Tropez:

🎶 A new open-air concert at the Pré des Pêcheurs, featuring Gautier Capuçon, Jérôme Ducros, Verity Jacobsen, Jordan Kindell and Ballet Preljocaj, bringing together more than 3,000 attendees and reflecting the festival’s commitment to making classical music accessible to all.

🎶 Exceptional evenings in the courtyard of the historic Château de la Moutte, featuring outstanding artists including Lisa Batiashvili, François Leleux, Pretty Yende, Aleksey Kursanov, the Quatuor Modigliani, Guillaume Gallienne and the Orchestre Toulon Provence Méditerranée.

🎶 An unforgettable recital on the water by Yuja Wang, creating a truly magical and unique artistic experience.

🎶 Special concerts and workshops for children, introducing younger audiences to the beauty and joy of classical music.
Beyond the performances, Les Nuits du Château de la Moutte is a remarkable example of how culture can bring people together. The festival reflects a strong commitment to artists, audiences, younger generations and the preservation of cultural heritage, while fostering dialogue and connection across borders through music.
This year marked the first edition under the artistic direction of internationally renowned cellist Gautier Capuçon, whose philanthropic foundation is also part of FDFA’s supported organisations in Asia. We were particularly honoured to welcome him as a distinguished guest for the 2025 edition of our signature “Night for Philanthropy’ in 2025, where he introduced the Fondation Gautier Capuçon and shared its commitment to supporting the next generation of young musicians.
