We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone for Fondation de France Asia as we have successfully obtained legal status as a charity under Hong Kong law. This achievement comes under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (IRO), granting us the opportunity to serve as a platform for impactful philanthropy in the region.
With our newly acquired charity status, we are now able to receive donations that will benefit from tax exemptions according to the guidelines set forth by the Hong Kong government. This development not only enhances our ability to carry out meaningful initiatives but also encourages individuals and organisations to contribute towards causes that align with our mission.
To celebrate this remarkable milestone, we are gathering on September 27th at the esteemed Guimet Museum, the national museum of Asian arts. This prestigious venue serves as a symbol of our commitment to honouring the rich cultural heritage of Asia.
The celebratory event will bring together representatives of philanthropic organizations and distinguished guests who share a passion for making a positive difference in our communities. It will provide a platform for networking, sharing insights, and fostering collaborations to further strengthen our collective impact.
This landmark achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of our team, donors, and partners. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has played a role in helping us reach this significant milestone.
