Our ambition at emlyon Foundation is to enable talented students who lack adequate financial resources to access education that matches their potential and secures their professional future. Our aim is to change up to 500 destinies a year and to raise up to €1 million a year to meet the ever-increasing demand from students.
THE CAUSES WE SUPPORT
The emlyon Foundation works to make the school accessible to talented students who lack adequate financial resources. To this end, there are 5 different programs:
The Tour de France of Oral exams
To enable young people to access education that matches their motivation and potential, we need to support them in their orientation, which is a decisive step in their whole personal and professional career. A financial grant enables motivated young people to take the competitive entrance exams suited to their potential, and to cover the costs involved in taking the oral exams at the various schools. The necessary expenses to take the oral tests at the various schools: registration fees for the exams, lunch expenses, travel and accommodation throughout France.
Social-based grants
A donation of €5,000 can be used for social-based grants (to identify the students who need it most, we refer to the needs identified by the CROUS system. At emlyon, this represents 10% of PGE, MS, MSc in and GBBA students. For the Grande École programme alone, 17% are CROUS scholarship beneficiaries) to cover 50% of a student’s yearly living expenses so to allow her/him to fully focus on her/his studies without having to find a job to pay their rent and bills.
Emergency funds
A donation of €5,000 to the emergency fund can financially support a student in a serious and unforeseen situation (death, illness, accident).
Health and Disability Scholarships
A donation of €5,000 to a person with a disability can ensure her/his integration in an academic and/or professional setting.
Phd and Research scholarships
Research at emlyon business school is key to enriching the academic content of courses, adding value and differentiating emlyon’s teaching. Thanks to donors, emlyon business school and the Fondation emlyon intend to finance the full cost of tuition over 4 years through scholarships for these PhD students so that they can find at emlyon the ideal conditions to focus fully on their work.
Target amount sought:
- Raise up to 1 million euros per year for up to 500 students and/or
- individual donations of 5,000 euros for Social-based grants, Emergency Funds, or Health and Disability Scholarships
