PLAY is a pioneering NGO in the field of education through sport. Founded in 1999, it is driven by a strong conviction: sport is a powerful tool for education, development, and social inclusion for young people from vulnerable communities. Our mission is to create lasting behavioral change in children through sport, empowering them to become the engaged citizens of tomorrow.
Since its inception, PLAY has implemented educational and humanitarian programs in more than 25 countries, benefiting over 1.5 million children and training 25,000 professionals. Today, we operate in six countries—France, Kosovo, Burundi, Senegal, Comoros, and Rwanda—and are expanding into Asia through our partnership with Enfants d’Asie.
THE CAUSE WE SUPPORT
In Cambodia, access to quality education remains limited. Public schools, with classes averaging 80 pupils, focus on a lecture-based approach that does not meet children’s individual needs. As a result, many pupils struggle to keep up and fall behind. Many leave school without mastering fundamental skills, which limits them to poorly paid and sometimes dangerous jobs.
In partnership with Enfants d’Asie, PLAY aims to improve the acquisition of basic skills by children from centres, using games and sport as a learning tool.
Through this project:
✅ 500 children will benefit from interactive educational and sports activities.
✅ 25 local teachers and sports educators will be trained to implement these methods effectively, ensuring long-term impact.
Together, let’s use sport to unlock new opportunities for these children and build a brighter future!
